Heather and I had a lot of fun photographing this shoot here in our hometown of Granite Falls at the Tsubaki Grand Shrine. It was a bit rainy and cold, but we do live in the Seattle area, so you have to expect that.  The colors sure did pop for this session and the bright red kimono with the beautiful green lush trees gave such a vibrant feel to the pictures.  Again we had to incorporate our love of film and we chose to shoot with our Asahi Pentax and also our Canon 1V. Kodak Portra 400 was our film of choice for this specific session and as you can see the contrast of colors with film is stunning.  I just have to say one more time that it was great pleasure of ours to photograph this in our hometown of Granite Falls at the Tsubaki Grand Shrine.

All images were taken on film with a Canon 1V and an Asahi Pentax 6×7 with Kodak Portra 400. Enjoy!
