Chris and Jessica’s Wedding

When I think about Chris and Jessica and their story, to me it reads like something straight from a Keith Urban song. In fact, “Only You Can Love Me This Way” just about sums it up. Lyrics put into real life, now that’s Chris and Jessica!

In a heartbeat it’s easy to see the love between them, it’s written in their touches, their kisses, the smirks and their smiles. When I think about their wedding I’m reminded of a young couple in love who enjoy a peaceful, down to earth lifestyle which was skillfully expressed by the venue choice and through their décor.

Our day started early as we packed, double and triple checked equipment, and then artfully loaded our car for the wintery journey that lay ahead of us. This day’s weather forecast called for nasty mountain pass conditions. With the ceremonial yearly Christmas tree lighting in Leavenworth and sweet skiing conditions, traffic was thick. Much to our blessings when we dropped over to the east side of the Cascade Pass, sun rays blasted through thick cumulus cloud formations, honestly it just couldn’t have been better for pictures!

Mountain Springs Lodge is about 15 miles due north of Leavenworth in a small town named Plain. Nestled in a quiet valley with the North Cascades towering around, our backdrop was set! The day rolled on with peace and ease as Chris and Jessica said their vows before the Almighty Lord and their closest family and friends. Love and laughter as well as the hearth fire kept everyone warm as the sun set and the chilly evening set in. With vows said and toasting complete, dinner was served. DJ-Simon Farivar of Leavenworth DJ Services kept the pace moving and the night rolling right up to the end. I simply cannot say enough about the outstanding service from the staff at the Mountain Springs Lodge and the professionalism from Simon the DJ.

Country Western Winter would be the description of this wedding and Jessica nailed it! From the venue, the handmade shotgun shell boutonnières right down to the cowboy boots, this December wedding went off without a hitch!
